Scentsy Story
I started buying Scentsy products when my daughter joined Scentsy. She quit but I still loved Scentsy, and I had all these warmers and like most people, I started buying from the Walmart store. This was a mistake. the scent was not long lasting and before long I started searching online for a consultant in my area. I found Rosanne; she lives a few miles down the road.
I was a PartyLite person before I discovered Scentsy, I always liked the pretty candle dishes, but I did not care for the wax smell when I lit the little candles, it always made me nervous because of fire. Once I started trying Scentsy I found how safe it was and Scentsy gave me the fragrances. I never once thought about selling. I really did not feel like I had the have that salesperson mentality. Rosanne asked me several times; I told her, no I just wanted to buy it.
In 2018, I made the decision to retire at the end of 2021, my husband was already retired, and I wanted to be able to do things with him. I started looking at the income I would have available and discovered going from working to retirement was going to be tough, financially. So, I spent the next couple of years paying things off. I knew it would be tough, but I figured if I tightened my belt, I would be ok.
In 2020, Rosanne asked me again if I wanted to join Scentsy. This time I asked more questions because I thought hmmm, I love the Scentsy products so why not try it? Maybe It would help supplement my retirement income or at least I would get my products discounted through parties. So, I took the plunge and joined at the end of August 2020. This is still my WHY 3 years later
Before I joined it was mostly wax and warmers that I purchased, however, today Scentsy supplies most of my cleaning and laundry products and so much of my personal products. I love the quality and safety features of these products. I have learned so much about the products I sell that I have become pretty good at answering questions. I still do not have all the answers, but I know where to go to get them. I have made many lifelong friends. Between all the wonderful people I have met through Scentsy including my wonderful customers, I feel rich in friends.
The biggest reward is that I am able to spend a lot more time with my family. I’m married (going on 35 years) have a wonderful supportive daughter, three grandchildren and one great grandchild with another on the way. I get to see them any time I want because they live close by. I have the opportunities now to travel to places with my husband and family, I DO NOT have to report in or request time off anymore. I take my business with me wherever I go and make friends along the way.
